It is a particularly popular succulent thanks to its showy and colorful blooms. It flowers in winter, and for this reason, it is known as the "Christmas Cactus".
If grown outdoors, it prefers medium light exposure, protecting it from intense direct light in the hotter months.
Use a well-draining and light substrate, keeping it slightly moist during the vegetative period.
It tolerates temperatures down to 12°C.
