Adenium obesum belongs to the Apocynaceae family and is native to Africa.
It is a caudiciform succulent, also commonly known as "Desert Rose," with a bushy habit. It is a particularly attractive plant due to its caudex, which helps the Adenium store water.
Lanceolate, bright green leaves grow at the top of the trunk. In spring and summer, it produces large, colorful, and showy flowers.
It prefers excellent light exposure, which is also necessary for flowering, and a well-draining, light substrate.
It does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C. During the winter period, it may enter dormancy and partially or totally lose its foliage.
