The Peperomia Prostrata belongs to the Piperaceae family and is native to the tropical areas of Central and South America, the West Indies, and South Africa.
Its peculiarity lies in its round, fleshy, and thick leaves. The leaf surface is covered with striations that resemble a turtle's shell (hence the name "string of turtles", "turtle necklace" or "string of turtle").
It is ideal for growing as a trailing plant in hanging pots.
It requires good light exposure and a well-draining substrate.
Avoid water stagnation by allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings.
