The Maranta belongs to the Marantaceae family and is native to Brazil.
It has large, slightly elongated leaves. Its leaves are characterized by reddish veins, with yellow/lime spots and varying intensities of green that extend from the heart of the leaf to the edges.
As evening approaches, its leaves rise and the plant closes in on itself. In the morning, it reopens its foliage.
It requires indirect bright light and a well-draining substrate.
