It has elongated, thin leaves with prominent and raised veins.
The color of mature leaves is a peculiar dark, intense green with bluish reflections. The underside of the leaf has purplish hues.
It prefers bright, indirect exposure and a well-draining, light substrate. Alocasias are sensitive to waterlogging.
