Adenium obesum belongs to the Apocynaceae family and is native to Africa.
It is a caudiciform succulent, also commonly known as "Desert Rose", with a bushy habit. It is a particularly attractive plant due to the presence of the caudex, which helps the Adenium store water reserves.
Lanceolate, bright green leaves develop at the top of the trunk. In spring and summer, it produces large, colorful and showy flowers.
It prefers excellent bright exposure, also necessary for flowering, and a well-draining and light substrate.
It does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C. During the winter period, it may enter vegetative rest and partially or totally lose its foliage.
